Remittance payment agreement between Nepal Remit & NMB Bank
The agreement for remittance payment was signed by Chief Executive Officer Sagar Khanal on behalf of Nepal Remit International and Chief Executive Officer Sunil KC on behalf of NMB Bank.
KATHMANDU: A remittance payment agreement has been signed between Nepal Remit International Pvt Ltd and NMB Bank Limited, which is importing remittances from different countries of the world.
Along with the agreement, the amount sent from different agreement countries of the world through Nepal Remit can be easily received directly into the bank account of NMB Bank and through the branch office of NMB Bank.

Nepal Remit has been receiving remittances from all around the world for the past 17 years. Nepal Remit, which prioritizes digital remittances, has entered real-time remittances from several Nepalese banks and financial institutions into user accounts.
From this the inflow of remittances in Nepal will also help in strengthening the country’s economy. Dev Bahadur Thapa, Deputy General Manager of Nepal Remit, informed that with this agreement, the amount sent from abroad will be paid more easily through the banking channel and the related person will receive the amount.
NMB Bank, which has operated in the Nepali financial market for over 20 years, is one of the top commercial banks in Nepal, having been licensed as a ‘A’ class financial institution by Nepal Rastra Bank in 2008.
NMB Bank, which has more than two hundred branch offices and several extension counters and has been offering financial services such as QR code service, credit card, debit card, link IPS, online banking, and so on, has expanded its services throughout Nepal.
The Banker Magazine, published by the world-renowned Financial Times London, has named NMB Bank ‘Bank of the Year 2017’, ‘Bank of the Year 2018’, ‘Bank of the Year 2020’, and ‘Bank of the Year 2021’.
For the first time in Nepali banking history, the bank was named Bank of the Year 2021 Asia in 2021.
