KATHMANDU: In the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers, Oman were knocked out for 98 runs against Sri Lanka.

Oman, who lost the toss and batted first at the Queen’s Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital, made 98 runs in 30 overs before being bowled out.

Oman’s Ayan Khan scored 41 runs off 60 balls, including four fours. Hasaranga dismissed Ayan Wanindu. The Sri Lankan bowlers did not allow any Omani players to form a partnership.

For the fifth wicket, Ayan Khan and Jatinder Singh had a good partnership of 52 runs off 64 balls. Wanindu Hasranga broke the partnership when he bowled Singh for 21 off 43 balls.

Fayyaz Butt scored 13 runs off 28 balls.

Other than Fayyaz Butt, Ayan Khan, and Jatinder Singh, no Oman players scored in double figures.

Sri Lanka’s wicket-takers were Wanindu Hasaranga (5 wickets) and Lahiru Kumara (3 wickets). Kasun Rajitha had one wicket.
