Three, including Sudurpaschim govt minister, hurt in jeep accident
The vehicle plunges 50 meters below the road on the Kalanga River's bank.
KATHMANDU: Three people including a minister in the Sudurpaschim State government were injured in a jeep accident in Bajhang today.
The jeep in which Prithvi Bahadur Singh, Sudurpaschim State Government Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, was travelling was involved in an accident.
The jeep accident injured four persons, including Minister Singh.
The jeep (Su Pra 01-001 Jha 480) in which Minister Singh was riding was on its way to Chainpur from Dadeldhura when it was involved in an accident Bagthala, Kedarsyun Rural Municipality, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jageshwor Bhandari.
The vehicle plunges meters below the road on the Kalanga River’s bank.
The name and address of the two others who were injured in the accident is not ascertained yet.
Minister Singh is being treated at Kedarsyun-1 Deura’s Ritu Polyclinic for injuries to his legs and face.
Three more people are being treated at Rayal Primary Health Post.
Police said a helicopter has been called to airlift the injured for further treatment.
