As a result, both teams shared 1-1 points since the match couldn’t take place.
Unfortunately for Nepal, this cancellation meant they were unable to accumulate enough points to advance further in the tournament.
In Group A, India and Pakistan reached the semi-finals with one match remaining. Nepal, having lost their first match against Pakistan by 9 runs and then having the second match cancelled, ended up in third place in the group and were eliminated from the tournament.
It’s worth noting that India had to share points in one of their matches due to rain, which affected the overall standings in the group.
