KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) will join the Samajwadi Front. On Friday, the party’s secretariat met at the party’s central office in Aloknagar and made this decision.
Following the meeting, the party’s Deputy General Secretary and Spokesperson, Jagannath Khatiwada, told reporters that the party would join the Samajwadi Morcha.
He believes that the front will be declared within the next two to four days, following the completion of an internal conference of all parties planning to participate in the Samajwadi Front.
He said, ‘Socialist Front is the most talked about. We have been discussing forming this front for a long time. After everyone’s internal meeting has been completed to announce this front as soon as possible, today we have unanimously announced that Samajwadi Morcha Nepal will not be announced but will soon participate in its announcement.
He said that he is going to announce a front to spread socialist ideology outside the parliament, advocate for the development of the country, and pressurize to provide services to the common people.
Spokesperson Khatiwada said that the Samajwadi Front currently consists of CPN (Unified Socialist), CPN (Maoist Centre) and Janata Samajwadi Party and CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand.
