KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing committee meeting has begun with a question-and-answer session with proposed Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki.
The committee continues to examine Karki about the complaints made against him and the action plan he presented at the meeting on Thursday.
He will be appointed Chief Justice if he is approved by question and answer. Karki now serves as the permanent Chief Justice.
There is a constitutional system in place to appoint the President when the Constitutional Council’s suggestion is approved by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.
Along with his speech, he submitted a 20-page ‘Court Reform Action Plan’ during Thursday’s meeting.
