KATHMANDU: The eighth edition of the Kantipur HISSAN Edufair (Educational Fair) began on Thursday.

Dev Raj Ghimire, Speaker of the House of Representatives, launched the fair in the middle of a ceremony.

According to the organizing group, the expo, which began at the Bhrikuti Mandap exhibition hall, was aimed at students and their parents who were awaiting the results of the SEE and class 12 exams.

According to the organizer, there will be more than 75 educational institution exhibitors in the expo, which will run until Sunday, June 18.

According to the organizers, by joining the exhibition for free, you may learn about Nepal’s education system and educational institutions.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire said that it is necessary to bring the Federal Education Act as soon as possible.

He stated that as parliament is presently in session, the government aims to pass the Federal Education Act soon.

Speaker Ghimire stated that the government and business sector must work together to make Nepal an educational centre.

He stated that such fairs are critical for giving higher education to children in the country.

He stated that, while there are education policies connected to world schools in terms of establishing education fit for Nepal, there are still some issues with putting them into effect.
