Bairagi appointed as security advisor took oath

KATHMANDU: Former Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi has been sworn in as the National Security Advisor of the National Security Council, following his appointment during a recent meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who chairs the National Security Council, administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bairagi.

Previously scheduled to conclude in Asshoj, Bairagi’s tenure has been cut short with his resignation, and Secretary Baikuntaha Aryal has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary by the government.
