KATHMANDU: The hearing of Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki in the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee today has concluded.

The hearing for today has concluded, and another hearing is scheduled for tomorrow.

Karki has also been summoned for a hearing tomorrow. Karki stated during a hearing before the Parliamentary Hearings Special Committee at Singha Durbar that the round-robin method had facilitated the delivery of justice and reduced criticism of the court.

He states that the irregularity has decreased by 60% when the hearing was assigned through the round-robin procedure in the past.

In Supreme Court, High Court and District Court, the administration of justice has become easier after the implementation of the round-robin system.

He stated during today’s session that he was appointed as a Supreme Court justice against his will.

Karki claimed in a committee meeting that he would identify the intermediary and prevent him from entering the Supreme Court.

There have been 29 complaints lodged against him. Questions and responses will be offered during the hearing on those complaints tomorrow.

On Baisakh 25 (May 8), the Constitutional Council meeting proposed that Chief Justice Karki be appointed as Chief Justice. The parliamentary hearing process for Karki has been delayed due to the failure to constitute a parliamentary hearing committee.
