KATHMANDU: Croatia’s journey in the UEFA Nations League has culminated in a thrilling triumph, as they conquered the Netherlands with a commanding 4-2 win in the semifinals, propelling them into the highly anticipated final.
In a thrilling encounter that ended 2-2 after the scheduled 90 minutes, Croatia emerged victorious in extra time, scoring two more goals to secure a spot in the Nations League final.
Croatia had one goal each from Andrej Kramaric, Mario Pasalic, Bruno Petkovic, and Luka Modric. Similarly, Donyell Malen and Noa Long each scored one goal for the Netherlands.
Croatia will now face the winner of the Nations League final between Spain and Italy.
Today is the second semi-final encounter between Spain and Italy. The UEFA Nations League final will take place on June 19.
