Sumana Shrestha, RSP MP, attends committee meeting in a short skirt
However, no one dared to question her about it.
KATHMANDU: Sumana Shrestha, a Rastriya Swatantra Party MP who was chastised for wearing a t-shirt in the House of Representatives, reached for a parliamentary committee meeting dressed similarly.
She wore a short skirt to the House of Representatives’ Education and Health Committee meeting, known as the Mini Parliament, on Wednesday. Even the MP was taken aback by her presence.
However, no one dared to question her about it. The MPs were particularly particular about her attire.
The House of Representatives regulations indicate that members of Parliament and Committees must dress modestly when attending meetings.
Even earlier, in response to a question about wearing a t-shirt and jeans in Parliament, she justified herself by noting that wearing a t-shirt and jeans is not unlimited.
