President Poudel gets discharged from hospital

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has been discharged from hospital following his treatment.

Dr. Chandramani Adhikari, the hospital’s executive director, announced that Poudel, who had been under 24-hour monitoring following a normal health check-up and treatment at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, was discharged this morning.

President Poudel’s health, according to Dr. Adhikari, is normal.

President Poudel reached the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Disease Center in Bansbari at 7 am on Tuesday morning after suffering from heart problems.

Hospital sources said that after knowing that there was a heart attack, the blocked artery of the heart was opened and treated by ‘angioplasty’.
