Younger brother kills elder brother over minor dispute

KATHMANDU: A brother has killed his brother by hitting him with a khukuri in Ombhal, Kathmandu.

Last night, in Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s 23 Ombahal, a brother murdered his elder brother.

The incident occured about mudnight 12, however the police were not notified until 8:30 a.m.

Following a disagreement between the brothers, it was discovered that the brother murdered the sibling by striking him with a sharp knife.

According to DSP Rijal, Suraj Shakya, 25, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 23, murdered his own brother, Surya Shakya, 45.

Brother Suraj Shakya killed his elder brother with a sharp weapon at 12 night after elder brother Surya, who had returned home drunk, began abusing his mother.

Younger brother Suraj, who fled following the murder, has been apprehended by police in Bangemudha.
