Pakistan beats Nepal by 9 runs

KATHMANDU: Nepal was defeated by Pakistan in the first match of the ACC Women’s T-20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup, which was held in Hong Kong.

Chasing Pakistan’s 88-run target, the Nepali women’s cricket team lost 6 wickets in 20 overs, scored only 78 runs, and lost the match by 9 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan’s A squad scored 87 runs in 19.2 overs after losing the toss and batting first.

Nepal is in Group A of the event, which will be hosted in Hong Kong from June 12 to June 21, alongside India, Pakistan, and the host city.

Nepal will now play its second match against India’s A squad on June 15 and the host Hong Kong on June 17.
