Protest against Magar’s surname ‘Pun’ been made a different caste (photos)

KATHMANDU: The people of the Magar community protested that the National Statistics Office of Nepal Magar Society listed the Magar surname ‘Pun’ as a separate caste and published the data.

They staged a demonstration in front of the National Statistics Office.

Kirant Rai Society has also protested the demand for data correction, claiming that incorrect data has been published.
