Birtamode Municipal Hospital to be upgraded

BIRTAMODE: The Birtamode Municipality in Jhapa district is working to upgrade the hospital run by the municipality.
Mayor of Birtamode Pabitra Mahatara Prasain laid a foundation stone of the new hospital building on Thursday.
As per the new plan, a three-storied state of the art building would be constructed the premises of Birtamode Municipal Hospital.
After the completion of the building construction, the hospital will be upgraded to 25 beds hospital from the 15 beds.
Mayor Mahatara said that easy, accessible and quality health care service would be given to the public by completing the construction works in time.
Total cost of the construction works is estimated Rs 150 million.
At present, the hospital is providing services to as high as 200 patients on a daily basis from four medical doctors.
