23-year-old held for rape charges

KATHMANDSU: Police arrested 23-year-old Ujwal Rai, resident of Bhojpur Dingla Rural Municipality-5, living in a rented room in Kankai Municipality-3, on the charge of raping a 22-year-old girl.

On the basis of a complaint that the girl who had gone out for a walk was raped by Rai on Tuesday evening, the police stationed at the district police station, Surunga, arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
