ACC Women’s T-20: Nepal to play India Pakistan

KATHMANDU: Nepal will compete in the ACC Women’s T-20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup, which begins on Monday in Hong Kong.

Nepal was given the opportunity to compete as Hong Kong withdrew its name owing to visa issues.

The tournament will be held in Hong Kong from June 12 to June 21.

Nepal will compete in the competition, according to CAN Acting Secretary Durgaraj Pathak, after Thailand withdrew its name owing to visa concerns.

‘Thailand will not play. We received an offer from ACC only yesterday morning. We also quickly approved that proposal.’ ‘We are preparing for that,’ Pathak said Khelpati. We’ll travel there on the 10th or 11th.’

Nepal is in the tournament’s Group A. Nepal is in the same group as Hong Kong, India, and Pakistan.

The A teams from India and Pakistan will compete in the competition. Nepalese and Hong Kong senior teams will compete.

On June 13, Nepal will play their opening match against Pakistan. On June 15, Nepal will play their second match against India. On June 17, Nepal will face Hong Kong at home.

Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka make up Group B. Each group’s top two teams will proceed to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will take place on June 19. The final will take place on June 21.

The Nepali team has returned to Sweden after defeating Malaysia 3-2 in a five-match women’s T-20 international series.
