Jhapali lit a cigarette on the flight from Seoul to Kathmandu
After being discovered smoking, the pilot notified Kathmandu's Air Traffic Control (ATC). ATC immediately notified airport security.

KATHMANDU: A passenger on a Korean Air flight was arrested for smoking a cigarette. Subash Puri of Jhapa, who arrived in Kathmandu on Korean Air flight 0695 from Seoul, South Korea, was detained on Wednesday.
Puri was held by airport police as soon as he landed at Tribhuvan International Airport. Puri had lit a cigarette in the plane’s toilet.
After being discovered smoking, the pilot notified Kathmandu’s Air Traffic Control (ATC). ATC immediately notified airport security.
‘There was information from the aircraft that he had smoked on Korean Airlines. The counter informed that we went after the letter was handed over after arrival, therefore we got the culprit into arrest,” said Arjun Chand Thakuri, DIG of Tribhuvan International Airport Security Police Office.
The arrested Puri was transferred to the Gaushala police circle for further investigation.
