Pedestrian dies in vehicle hit

KATHMANDU: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Kavrepalanchowk’s Banepa Municipality-13 Sanga.

Last night, a vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 4294) traveling from Kathmandu to Banepa struck Chewang Tamang, 70, of Temal Rural Municipality-9, who was wandering on the side of the road.

Resham Bohra, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Banepa District Police Office, reported that he was severely hurt and died while receiving treatment at Banepa’s Scheer Memorial Hospital.

Police have detained the driver of the vehicle and are investigating the incident.
