AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup: Myanmar defeats Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal was defeated by Myanmar in the inaugural match of the second round of AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Myanmar trounced Nepal 5-0 on Tuesday at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.
Myanmar scored two goals in the first half and three goals in the second half against Nepal.
Myanmar won thanks to a hat-trick by Yin Lun In. Similarly, Jin Moi Paye and Yoon Wadi each scored a goal.
Jin Moi scored in the 23rd minute to give Myanmar an early lead.
Yin Lun scored in the 45th minute to give Myanmar a 2-0 lead.
He scored his second personal goal in the 46th minute of the game, giving Myanmar a 3-0 lead.
The home team’s lead increased to 4-0 when Yun scored in the 70th minute.
Then, in the 90th minute, he completed a hat trick, giving Myanmar a 5-0 victory.
Nepal, who is in Group ‘B’ of the qualifications, will now play China in the second encounter on Thursday. Similarly, in the final match on Saturday, Nepal will face Chinese Taipei.
Nepal has advanced to the second round of selection following the first round in Palestine. Nepal, the group winner in Group ‘B,’ has advanced to the second level.
