ANFA bids farewell to U-20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers

KATHMANDU: On Sunday, the Nepali women’s squad waved farewell to the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, which are being held in Myanmar.
On Sunday, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held a ceremony at its headquarters in Lalitpur to bid farewell to the Nepali women’s team, who will compete in the qualifiers in Myanmar.
The squad was bid farewell by ANFA President Pankaj Vikram Nemwang, spokesperson Suresh Shah, and others.
ANFA President Nemwang expressed his appreciation for the tour to Myanmar. Nepal is in Group ‘B’ in the selection process. Nepal is part of a group that includes China, Myanmar, and Chinese Taipei.
Nepal will begin the qualifiers against Myanmar on June 6. Similarly, Nepal will face China in the final qualifying match on June 8 and Chinese Taipei on June 10.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Palestine and the Northern Mariana Islands 6-0 in the first round in Palestine and advanced to the second round.
Deepa Shahi will captain the Nepali team, which has been led by Yam Prasad Gurung.
