KATHMANDU: Sergio Ramos, the French League One champion Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is leaving the club.

Ramos, a Spanish defender, confirmed his departure from PSG via social media.

Ramos will play his final game for PSG on Saturday.

Sharing the news on social media, Ramos wrote: “Tomorrow will be a special day, tomorrow I will say goodbye to another stage of my life, goodbye to @PSG_espanol . I don’t know how many places you can feel at home, but without a doubt, PSG, its fans and Paris have been one of them for me.

“Thank you for two special years in which I was able to play in every tournament and give my all. I will face new challenges, I will wear other colours, but first, and for the last time: ¡#AllezParis!”

PSG tweeted: “Paris Saint-Germain warmly thanks @SergioRamos, who is preparing to leave the capital after two seasons defending the colours of the Club.”

Romos joined PSG from Real Madrid in 2021.

Ramos, 37, has appeared in 57 appearances for PSG.

Ramos led PSG to two league titles.

Ramos’ next steps are uncertain, however he has reportedly been asked about moving to Saudi Arabia.

PSG, who won Ligue 1 last weekend, will play their final game of the season against Clermont Foot at home on Saturday.
