‘Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League-2023, Series 2’ from Saturday, 16 teams participating
The competition, which will be staged in the League Come Knock Out style, will feature 31 matches in total.

KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited is organizing ‘Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League – 2023, Series 2’. The bank is set to organize the cricket league on the occasion of its 29th anniversary.
The competition, which will take held at Ballpark Indoor Cricket in Imadol from Saturday, Jestha 20-22 (June 3-5), will include 16 teams from various banks and financial institutions.
The organizer Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Bodhraj Devkota announced the winner’s trophy and the Bank’s Assistant Chief Executive Officer Jalaj Kumar Adhikari announced the jersey at a press conference on Wednesday.
Ravind Gupta, the cricket league’s technical director, presented the rules and separated the teams into groups.
Bodhraj Devkota, the bank’s chief executive officer, stated during the conference that this cricket league will serve to develop fraternity, closeness, goodwill, and friendship amongst banks and financial organizations.
The competition, which will be staged in the League Come Knock Out style, will feature 31 matches in total.
The 16 competing teams will be divided into four groups, with the top two groups advancing to the quarterfinals.
The game will last 10 overs per innings.
Machhapuchhre Bank, Citizens Bank, Himalayan Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Sunrise Bank, Prabhu Bank, NMB Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Prime Bank, Kumari Bank, Garima Bikas Bank, Lumbini Bikas Bank, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, ICFC Finance, Shree Investment Finance and Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank are participating in the competition.
The best players in various categories, such as the winner, runner-up team, man of the series, best bowler, best batsman, best wicket keeper, best fielder, and so on, will be awarded prizes.
All tournament matches will be broadcast on the bank’s official YouTube channel.
