Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola named LMA manager of the year

KATHMANDU: Pep Guardiola has been named manager of the year by the League Managers Association (LMA).

Guardiola was named the Premier League’s best coach for the 2022/23 season, and he was also named manager of the year.

The 52-year-old guided City to their third successive Premier League title earlier this month, becoming the first manager to achieve the feat since Sir Alex Ferguson in 2008-09.

For the seventh time, City won the Premier League.

City has reached the Champions League final under Guardiola’s guidance.

City also advanced to the FA Cup final.
