Easy victory for Church Boys
Church Boys defeated APF Club 4-1 on Tuesday at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.
KATHMANDU: Top placed Church Boys United secured a comfortable victory in the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League Football.
Church Boys defeated APF Club 4-1 on Tuesday at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor. Church Boys won thanks to two goals from Ananta Tamang. Mausham Subba and Aashish Chaudhary added one goal each.
APF’s Awas Lamichhane scored a goal.
Mausham scored in the third minute to put Church Boys ahead early.
Ananta scored in injury time in the first half to put Church Boys up 2-0. Ananta scored his second personal goal in the 55th minute to put the club up 3-0.
Awas scored in the 83rd minute of the game, putting APF ahead 3-1.
Then, in the 89th minute, Aashish scored to give Church Boys a 4-1 triumph.
This is Church Boys’ 11th triumph. In 23 games, the Church Boys have scored 41 points.
Church Boys have a four-point lead over second-place Jawalakhel Youth Club.
APF is sixth in the standings with 29 points after 23 games.
