15.56 billion in forest sector, 58 billion in Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock
He stated that the sustainable use of forest resources and the development of forest-based industries will improve its contribution to the national economy.

KATHMANDU: The forest and environment sector has been allotted a budget of Rs 15.56 billion by the government.
Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Finance Minister, presented the annual estimate budget of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2080/81 in the Federal Parliament today, stating that environmental balance will be maintained through forest, biological diversity, and watershed management.
He stated that the sustainable use of forest resources and the development of forest-based industries will improve its contribution to the national economy.
Protected areas and community woodlands are identified as potential tourist sites.
Finance Minister Mahat stated that the Chure Conservation Master Plan will be executed with the participation of the federal, provincial, and municipal levels through the President’s Chure Conservation Program. To protect water and land, projects such as bamboo planting, recharge ponds, irrigation, and landslide management will be implemented.
In the 2019 fiscal year, the government has budgeted for the production of 56 million doses of vaccine.
The Minister of Finance has stated that a vaccination program will be implemented in Nepal to prevent the damage caused by the pandemic in animal husbandry, and that a budget has been set aside for the development of the vaccine.
Similarly, the government has also announced that it will conduct an integrated program for the development of the agricultural sector with the involvement of the union, state and local levels. 58.98 billion budget has been allocated for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
