Old & unused govt vehicles will be auctioned within 6 months
He further stated that it is not permitted to establish a separate structure or agency for the work performed by the ordinary government structure, to engage in consulting services, or to accept service contracts in excess of the authorised postings.
KATHMANDU: Within six months, the government will auction off old and unneeded vehicles and other commodities from government departments.
On Monday, Minister Mahat presented the budget for fiscal year 2080/81.
He further stated that it is not permitted to establish a separate structure or agency for the work performed by the ordinary government structure, to engage in consulting services, or to accept service contracts in excess of the authorised postings.
He said, ‘I have arranged that a separate structure or agency cannot be created for the work to be carried out by the regular structure of the government, and consulting services cannot be taken and service contracts in excess of the number of approved posts cannot be taken.
The old and unused vehicles and other goods in the government agencies will be auctioned within 6 months.’
