KATHMANDU: The Nepali women’s team has been announced for the second round of the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers.

According to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), chief coach Yam Gurung announced the 23-member team.

Nepal is in Group ‘B’ in the second round of selection. China, Myanmar and Chinese Taipei are in Nepal’s group.

The ‘A’ group includes Australia, Vietnam, Iran, and Lebanon.

Nepal has advanced to the second round of selection following the first round in Palestine. Nepal, the group winner in Group ‘B,’ has advanced to the second level.

The second round of selection will take place between June 3 and June 11. The top four teams will compete in the U-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Uzbekistan.

From March 3 to 16, Uzbekistan will host the U-20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024. The U-20 Women’s Asian Cup will include 16 teams.
