KATHMANDU: Andres Iniesta, the former Barcelona captain and midfielder, is leaving the Japanese club.

Iniesta, 39, is set to quit the Japanese club after five years.

According to reports, Iniesta will play his final game for the Japanese team on July 1.

He has stated that he will not retire immediately if he quits the Japanese club.

Iniesta joined the Japanese club after leaving Barcelona in 2018.

Iniesta also serves as captain of the Japanese club.

He spent 22 years in Barcelona, where he won 32 trophies and appeared in 674 games.
