Biratnagar Metropolitan provides rice seeds to farmers with 50% subsidy

BIRATNAGAR: Biratnagar Metropolitan Corporation has distributed rice seeds of advanced varieties.

The metropolitan corporation provided rice seedlings to farmers with a 50% subsidy in order to increase rice yield.

Farmers were given rice seedlings by Mayor Nagesh Koirala and Chief Administrative Officer Rajendra Parajuli.

Biratnagar 4, 5, 6, 14, 16, 18, and 19 wards have received 16,169 kg of seeds from the city. That seed will cover 403 bighas.

According to the metropolitan agriculture branch, the supplied seeds will yield 28 thousand 245 metric tons of rice.
