Kid dies in vehicle accident

KATHMANDU: A 5-year-old kid dies in Scorpio (May 1 Cha 7353) accident in Taplejung.

The deceased has been identified as Anshuman Gurung, 5, the son of Sagar Gurung of the same place.

The accident took place when the Scorpio was on its way to Parajuli Chowk from Taplejung, Phungling Municipality-6, Bhote Gumba road on Thursday morning.

He was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at District Hospital Taplejung.

Also, the driver of the vehicle who was injured in the accident is being treated at the same hospital.

The police are conducting necessary investigations regarding the accident.
