1 million compensation for tiger attack victim’s family
Chand was attacked by a tiger while cutting grass in Khaptinala, Pachui, on the 8th Baisakh (Aptil 21).

BEDKOT: Compensation payments have been distributed to the relatives of those killed in a tiger attack in Kanchanpur.
The family of 42-year-old Ganga Chand of Belauri Municipality-8 Pachui, who died in a tiger attack, has received relief funds.
Chief District Officer Gopal Prasad Aryal handed over 1 million relief money to the tiger victim family. Shambhu Prasad Tiwari, Head of Division Forest Office, Kanchanpur, informed that the relief amount received as per the guidelines for the relief assistance for the damage caused by wild animals has been handed over to the families of the deceased.
Chand was attacked by a tiger while cutting grass in Khaptinala, Pachui, on the 8th Baisakh (Aptil 21).
Locals who had gone out to cut grass together manage to escape and saved their lives.
The next day, a technical team from Bardiya National Park and Shuklaphanta National Park captured the tiger and transported it to the zoo.
Chand’s body was discovered during the search in the Khaptinala area.
