RBB honors National Cricket Team’s players

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has honored the Nepali National Cricket Team’s players and team executives.

The national cricket team’s 18 players from the recently finished ACC Premier Cup 2023 winner received one lakh rupees apiece, while 8 team administrators received rupees 50,000 each.

With a great performance in the recently concluded Division 2 tournament, Nepal got the opportunity to participate in the World Cup selection match and has succeeded in keeping the recognition of playing international one-day cricket.

Dr. Balram Pathak, Chair of the Bank Board of Directors and Chief Guest, honored the players and team officials during the program, saying that cricket has also been added to the field of promoting Nepal to the world, and that we can continue to help in the future.

Kiran Kumar Shrestha, the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that this is an exceptional instance in which Cricket has raised the nation’s profile abroad, and that the Bank has also sponsored other sports.

Chatur Bahadur Chand, Chairman of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), stated that via cricket, Nepal’s name has become known internationally, and that the bank’s assistance has encouraged them to strive forward in the future. Rohit Paudel, captain of the national cricket team, stated, “My dream of playing for the country is actually the dream of all of us, and I am happy to be able to fulfill it.” Achyut Gautam, Head of Marketing Department, led the program.

The members of the bank’s board of directors, deputy chief executive officer Devendraraman Khanal and Saraswati Adhikari, deputy executive officers Devesh Prasad Lohani, Bimal Dangol, Pawan Regmi, Vinaya Raman Poudel, Durga Kumari Kandel, presidents of the three trade unions active in the bank, respectively, from the R.W. Bank Employees’ Association of Nepal. President Lakshmi Prasad Pandey, Nepal Financial Institutions Employees Association, Banijya Bank Chair Ishwor Bahadur Singh, Nepal National Employees Organization, Banijya Bank Vice Chair Jitendra Rai, department heads, regional managers, head branch office managers, corporate branch managers and other employees were present in the program.

Currently, the bank provides banking services through 271 branch offices, 52 extension counters, 269 ATMs, and 99 branchless banking locations, including all 7 province and 77 district heads.
