KATHMANDU: Rajendra Prasad Pandey, CPN (Unified Socialists Party) Member of Parliament, has stated that projects that benefit the economies of large countries, such as the Nijgadh International Airport and the Budhi Gandaki multi-purpose hydropower project, should be carried out soon through the upcoming budget.

“There is no need to withdraw the policy and program, and there is no need to rewrite it,” he stated, adding, “However, the policy program should include the good suggestions made by parliamentarians.”

He stated that another parallel route from Dharke to Muglin of the Prithvi Highway is required.

“Ten years ago, 12,000 vehicles used to run,” he remarked. “Now, 24,000 vehicles run.” If this happens, 40,000 people will die in ten years. In such case, another parallel route from Dharke to Muglin should be created.’

Similarly, he stated that sending skilled labor abroad after training them will improve remittances.

He said that since money goes to foreigners through tools like Pathao and Tootle, Nepal should run its own vehicles.
