Winner of ‘Halkara’ letter writing competition been announced
Although the winner of this competition was supposed to be announced on Baisakh 27 (May 10), the result was published on Tuesday due to some technological difficulties.
KATHMANDU: The three best letter writing competition winners for the Nepali film ‘Halkara,’ which was released on Baisakh 29 (May 12), have been announced.
Three winners were chosen from among those who took part in the tournament. Bikram Pariyar of Annapurna Rural Municipality-1, Kaski, took first place, followed by Babita Thapa of New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, and Basudev Aryal of Thaha Municipality-6, Makwanpur.
The film crew stated that they will contact the winners and award the prizes. They were instructed to send a letter to someone who is far away from their lives, who they desperately want, who they didn’t get even if they wanted, or who they would always remember in this competition. It was stated that the letter should have been sent to Nepal’s Goshwara Post Office. As a result, letters from all around Nepal were received.
