KATHMANDU: The earthquake occured in Bichhiya in Bajura district.

An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck the Bajura district on Monday at 6:54 p.m., according to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center Lainchaur.

Earlier, on Jestha 7 (May 21), a 4.1 Richter scale earthquake struck the morning of Hukam in the Bajura area.

Nepal’s Himalayan and hilly regions are deemed earthquake-prone.

Recently, earthquakes have struck Nepal’s eastern and western areas.
