Bogus Bhutanese refugee case: five victims register a complaints against MP Sherpa

KATHMANDU: Five victims have filed a complaint against former Nepali Congress MP Angtawa Sherpa in the matter of fraudulent Bhutanese migrants.

Individuals from Dolakha filed a complaint at Kathmandu’s district police complex, alleging that the Sherpa had defrauded them.

He is currently in police custody.

He turned himself in to police and surrendered after an arrest warrant was issued for him.

So far, 16 persons have been arrested and detained in this case by the police.

Similarly, 16 people are on the absconding list.
