NEPSE index grows by 5.88 points

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index rose by the typical number of points on the first trading day of the week.
The NEPSE index rose 5.88 points to 1883.20 on Sunday.

On Sunday, 48 lakh 28 thousand shares of 273 firms worth 1.6 billion 4 lakh 92 thousand rupees were purchased and sold.
The transaction amount has also increased when compared to last Thursday. Approximately 1.5 billion shares were exchanged in the prior transaction.
On Sunday, the indices of 9 of NEPSE’s 13 subgroups increased. Similarly, the index of four subgroups has reduced.
The index of non-life insurance subgroup climbed by 2.80 percent, while the index of hotel and tourist and business subgroup increased by more than 2 percent.
In which the finance, hydropower, production and processing sub-group, and development bank indexes have declined.
As the NEPSE index rose, the shares of the two companies traded at positive circuit levels on Sunday. National Insurance Company and Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta have been trading at positive circuit levels.
However, Adarsha Laghubitta’s share price has dropped by 6.56 percent since then. On Sunday transaction, shares of Shivam Cements Company worth Rs 6 crore 17 lakh were acquired and sold.
