Fire breaks out at health post in Gorkha

KATHMANDU: A fire breaks out in a Gorkha clinic. A fire broke out in the morning at Bungkot health post of Shaheed Lakhan Rural Municipality-7 of Gorkha in the district.
District Chair Sharan Shrestha said the fire completely destroyed administration, store and living quarters.
Medicines, oxygen consultants and other supplies in the store were also damaged in the fire, he said.
The fire caused him more than 50 million casualties and details of what was damaged are currently being collected.
It is estimated that the fire started at around 4:30 in the morning due to an electrical short.
Nepalese police, armed police and army teams were able to put the fire under control after about two hours of effort. To put out the fire, they enlisted the help of the Gorkha Municipality fire brigade.
