Roma, Sevilla advances to Europa League final, Juventus eliminated

KATHMASNDU: The Italian club AS Roma and the Spanish club Sevilla have both reached the UEFA Europa League finals.

After Roma and Bayer Leverkusen drew 0-0 in the second league of the semi-finals last night, Roma triumphed 1-0 in the first league to go to the final on aggregate.

Similarly, in the next match, Sevilla defeated Juventus by 2-1 and won 3-2 overall.

Earlier in the season, both teams drew 1-1 in the top division. Sevilla and Roma will now compete for the title in the final match. The Europa League final will be held on May 31 at Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary’s capital.

Sevilla is the club with the most Europa League titles, having won it six times. Sevilla last won this championship in 2020. So far, Sevilla has an unblemished record in reaching the final. Roma reached the Europa League final for the first time since 1991. Roma finished second in 1991 after losing to Inter Milan.
