550 mountaineers climbed Mt. Dhaulagiri in 63 years
Every year, numerous climbers arrive to climb Mt Dhaulagiri, the seventh tallest mountain in the world.

KATHMANDU: Sixty-three years have passed until this May 13 since the Mt Dhaulagiri was climbed.
So far, 550 climbers have successfully scaled Mt Dhaulagiri.
Every year, numerous climbers arrive to climb Mt Dhaulagiri, the seventh tallest mountain in the world, which is located at Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 of Myagdi district at an altitude of 8,167 meters.
It was originally climbed on May 13, 1960, by mountaineers from Switzerland, Austria, and Nepal.
From 1960 through 2020, 550 persons, including Nepalis and foreigners, successfully ascended Mt Dhaulagiri, according to the Department of Tourism.
This season, 37 mountaineers (25 men and 12 women) have applied for permits to climb Mt Dhaulagiri.
