Leaders of major parties are active in resolving refugee issue: Former Authority Chief Upadhyay

KATHMANDU: Former chief commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Surya Nath Upadhyay has stated that the arrest of their own former home minister was a heroic act.\

Speaking at an engagement program on Sunday on bogus refugees hosted by the Tanka Prasad Acharya Foundation in Kathmandu.

He stated that the case of phony Bhutanese migrants demonstrated that anything is possible if the government is determined.

He said that the country can be reformed if everyone works together to combat corruption.

He alleged that it is the leaders of the major parties who have sparked movement by asking how the refugee crisis might be resolved.

He stated that the agencies that investigate corruption must be active.
