Rai, who was held on charge of sexual abuse, granted a 7-day custody

KATHMANDU: Madan Rai, an agricultural expert from Khotang who was arrested on charge of sexually assaulting childrens and teenagers, has been under custody by the court for 7 days for inquiry.

Rai was arrested on Friday, Baisakh (May 12th), from the Subhadra Madan Foundation, a school he runs in Khotang.

As Saturday was a holiday, the police transported him to the Khotang District Court on Sunday and took 7 days to investigate.

He has been accused of sexually abusing childrens & teenagers that attend his foundation.
