621 fire cases with 16 casualties in a month

Sixteen individuals lost their lives in these events, with 11 fatalities in fires and five in forest fires, and 65 people sustained injuries.
As per the Deputy-Secretary of Authority, Sundar Prasad Sharma, rising temperatures lead to daily occurrences of fires that result in both human and material casualties.
He cautioned against risking one’s life by attempting to extinguish a fire without proper safety precautions, as such actions have often led to fatalities. He advised people to avoid intervening in fires without taking necessary safety measures.
Green tree branches and soil can be used along with water to control forest fire, according to the Authority which urges all not smoke in forest area, not to throw away burning cigarette butt near the forest, to make sure it is no more burning during its management and bury the fire remnants in soil.
