Husband held for murdering wife

KATHMANDU: On Saturday night, police arrested 55-year-old Ningma Sherpa of Dhankuta Kurle Tenupa Rural Municipality, who currently living in a rented room in Tokha Municipality-8, Kathmandu, on the charge of murdering his 50-year-old wife Motimaya Poudel.

As soon as it was learned that Motimaya had died on the spot after being beaten by Ningma during a drunken brawl, the police stationed from Maharajgunj police circle arrested him.

The police are investigating further in this regard.
