APF win over Army in departmental derby

KATHMANDU: Army Football Club was defeated by Armed Police Force (APF) in Shahid Smarak A Division League Football.

APF defeated Army by 3-0 in the match at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Wednesday.

In the 40th minute, Armand Widong gave Army the lead. Abhash Lamichhane extended APF’s advantage in the 55th minute of the second half.

Naveen Lama scored after 6 minutes to give APF a commanding lead.

APF also defeated Army in the opening leg. APF has risen to sixth place in the table after scoring 22 points. Army currently has 21 points.
