KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress MP Binod Kumar Chaudhary has stated that corruption is widespread in the country.

He said this while talking to mediapersons at the Parliament building premises on Wednesday. He claimed that ordinary citizens have become victims of corruption.

He pointed out that the country’s economy is shaky due of corruption.

He claimed that corruption is stalling Nepal’s growth. He stated that the corruption process should be made public.

‘Corruption is pervasive in the country,’ he claimed, adding that ‘the common people are suffering immensely as a result of this, and the country’s economy is unstable as a result of corruption. For the time being, controlling corruption is critical. No concessions should be made.’

Similarly, Ganesh Parajuli, an RSP member of Parliament, stated that they will protest if the case of bogus Bhutanese refugees is not settled and the implicated criminals are not apprehended and prosecuted.

He stated that the government’s initiative is unacceptable and that it will not be permitted if the leader attempts to save himself from political manipulation.

MP Parajuli stated that his party will continue to speak out against corruption.
