KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court issued an interim ruling directing that the position of MP Dr. Dhaka Kumar Shrestha, who is being prosecuted by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), not be revoked immediately.

The Supreme Court issued an interim ruling, requesting that the MP post not be revoked immediately.

Today (Monday), the bench of Judge Til Prasad Shrestha requested that the post not be cancelled following the preliminary hearing.

On Sunday, Dhaka Kumar filed a plea in the Supreme Court challenging the decision to remove him from his position.

An audio recording of him requesting 20 crores from medical practitioner Durga Prasai to become a minister was made public.

On this basis, his RSP party chose to revoke his MP post.
