KATHMANDU: The injured in the Simrik Air chopper crash in Sankhuwasabha have been brought to the Mediciti Hospital.

Three persons, including the pilot, were taken to Kathmandu for treatment when a chopper carrying items for the Upper Arun project crashed in Sankhuwasabha.

Three persons were rescued by chopper, including pilot Surendra Poudel, and flown to Mediciti Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment. Their treatment has begun.

According to authorities, the chopper crashed into a tree today at 1:10 p.m. in Hammaredanda, Sikprung, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 Hatia.

One of them has passed away. Bhabin Gurung was among those who died. He was serving as a chopper aide.

The crash gravely injured Captain Surendra Poudel, co-pilot Chiring Bhote, another assistant Manoj Thapa, and Nepal Electricity Authority employee Bikram Shankar.
